AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the
City of Salina, Kansas, prescribing the corporate limits of said City, and repealing Section',
5 of Ordinance Number 6142.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina,
Kansas, have come to pass, AND NOW,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commidsioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That a certain unplatted tract of land in the Northwest Quarter (NW -.1)
of Section Twenty -Three (23), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the
Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, so situated that two-thirds (2/3) of a
line or boundary thereof lies upon or touches the boundary line of the existing corporate
limits of the City of Salina, Kansas described as follows;
Beginning at a point 1,242.44 feet north of the
Northwest corner of Section 23, Township 14, South
Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence
north 200.0 feet thence east 667.25; thence south
200.0 feet; thence west 667.25 feet to the point of
beginning.
be and the same is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are hereby
extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and made part of said City under the
provisions of the preceding section of this ordinance and of Ordinance Number 6176, Sections'
1, 2, and 3; and that all of the land lying within the following described boundaries be and;,
the same is hereby declared to be within the Corporate Limits, hereby defined as:
Commencing at a point on the center line of Ninth Street extended
South, 200.0 feet south of the east and west quarter line of Section Twenty-
six (26), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas; thence west to a point 200.0
feet west of the west line of U. S. 81 Highway right-of-way; thence north
and northwesterly following a line 200.0 feet west of said highway right-
of-way to a point of intersection 200 feet south of the east -west one -
sixteenth line of the northeast quarter Section Twenty-six (26), Township
Fourteen (14), Range 3 West and a line that is 200 feet perpendicular to
the west right-of-way line of U. S. 81 By-pass; thence west and parallel
to the north section line of Section Twenty-six (26), Township Fourteen
(14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, to the
East right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence northeasterly
along said right-of-way to a point 480 feet, more or less, perpendicular
to said section line; thence west on a line parallel to the north section
line of Section Twenty-six (26), Township Fourteen (14), Range Three (3) West

of the Dry Creek Cut-off channel as now established to the next intersection

of Dry Creek as originally existing to its intersection with the west line
of Pacific Addition, being the west line of the northwest quarter of the

(2) to a point 159.6 feet of the southeast corner of the northeast quarter

West of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence north 395 feet, more or
less, to the point in the center of the original channel of Dry Creek (as
heretofore existed) thence northerly and westerly up the center of the
original channel of Dry Creek to its intersection with the north line of
the south half of the northeast quarter of said Section two (2), thence
east to a point 106.1 feet west of the east line of the northeast quarter of

its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
