WHEREAS, the total cost of said improvements has been ascertained and the portion thereof in the amount of $184,013.96 to be paid by general taxes to be levied upon all taxable property within said city for the improvement of squares and areas formed by the crossing of streets and alleys and for the improvement of any of said streets, where the same is through or adjacent to property of the City for which the City is liable, and of which amount the sum of $39,051.25 has been paid in cash, leaving a balance of $144,962.71 for which bonds are to be issued; and WHEREAS, the total cost of said curbing, guttering, paving and grading of said streets, which; are to be paid by special assessments and to be levied upon lots and pieces of ground liable for the payment of said curbing, guttering, paving and grading in said streets has been ascertained and has been hereby found and determined to be the sum of $352,414.20 which amount; has been theretofore duly assessed and apportioned to the several lots and pieces of ground liable therefor according to law provided for in the Ordinance of the City of Salina, Kansas, relating thereto, duly passed and approved of which amount the sum of $30,969.61 has been duly paid by the property owners liable therefor, leaving a balance of $321,444.59 for which bonds are to be issued; and WHEREAS, bonds in the aggregate sum of $466,407.30 are to be issued to pay the actual cost thereof. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas; Section 1. That the foregoing preambles be and they are hereby adopted as a part of this ordinance and that for the purpose of providing funds to pay the cost of the improvements hereinabove referred to and described in the ordinances and resolutions of said City and hereinbefore referred to, there shall be issued Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the total principal sum of $466,407.30, which shall consist of Four hundred Sixty- six, numbered 1 to 466, inclusIve all dated NovImbe 1, 1957, which shall bear interest at the s , (A rate of /,y i10 � �-L.
