N. McCollum doing business as McCollum Construction Company for the construction of a Lateral Sanitary Sewer in the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer 366, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Coomissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the McCollum Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October 29, 1957, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on November 5, 1957, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: Branch 1. An eight inch clay pipe sewer beginning at an existing manhole which is in the utility easement between and at the rear of Lots 10 and 11, Block 8, Country Club Addition Number 3 to the City of Salina, Kansas, then southeast along the property line.of lots 10 and 11, Block 8, in said Addition to a point 20 feet southeast of the northwest right- of-way line of Seitz Drive to manhole "A", thence southwest along a line 20 feet southeast of the northwest right-of-way line of Seitz Drive to manhole "D" which is in the intersection of Seitz Drive and Melrose Lane, thence continuing southeast to manhole "F" which is in the intersection of Seitz Drive and Edgehill Road, thence continuing south 180 feet to manhole "G" which will be terminus of Branch 1, Lateral 366. Branch 2. Beginning at manhole "D" which is in the intersection of Seitz Drive and 20 feet south of the north right-of-way line of Melrose Lane, thence west on a line 20 feet south of north right-of-way of Melrose Lane to manhole "I" which is in the intersection of Melrose Lane on Hilldale Road, thence continuing west 20 feet south of north right-of-way line of Melrose Land to manhole "0" which is in the intersection of Melrose Lane and 9 feet east of the west right-of-way line of Melrose Lane, thence south 90 feet where a lamp hole will be built which will be terminus of Branch 2, Lateral 366. Branch 3. Beginning at manhole "I" which is in the intersection of Melrose Lane and 20 feet east of the west line of Hilldale Road, thence north to manhole "W which is in the intersection of Hilldale Road and 20 feet south of the north line of Meadow Lane, thence west to Manhole "Y", which is in the intersection of Meadow Lane and 20 feet west of the east right-of-way line of Fairdale Road, thence northwest 180 feet to a point which is 20 feet east of the west right-of-way line of Fairdale Road where manhole "Z" will be built which will terminus of Branch # 3, Lateral 366. Branch 4. Beginning at manhole "F" which is in the intersection of Seitz Drive and 20 feet south of the north right -Of -way line of Edgehill Road, thence west on a line 20 feet wouth of said north right-of-way line of manhole "V" which is in the intersection of Eftehill Road and 9 feet east of the west right-of-way line of Edgehill Road, thence north 50 feet where a lamp hole will be built which will be terminus of Branch 4, and Lateral 366. CONSOLIDATED-SAL!NA i 1 I at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal., which i p p , proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of j the City Clerk which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said Improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposals of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the of 36,289.50 for such work, such i notes to bear interest at not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than i December 1, 1958, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as may the money for I the payment of the cost of such work be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the official city paper.
