6193 Utility ImprovementsCON SOLIDATED- 3.#LINA 11 1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 6193 (Published in The Salina Journal 1957) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with 0. D. Wilmoth doing business as Wilmoth Construction Company for the construction of adP iElt, Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Numbered 363, 364, and 367 and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof, pending issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the Wilmoth Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October 22, 1957, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on October 29, 1957, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: An eight -inch clay pipe sewer beginning at an existing Manhole in Ohio Street which is 7.0 feet west of the center line of Ohio Street and on line with center of Blocks 3 and 4 in Riker Addition; thence west along center line of said Blocks to a point 50 feet east of the east line of Roach Street at which point a manhole will be constructed which will be terminus of Lateral 363, An eight -inch clay pipe sewer beginning at an existing manhole at the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Simmons Street; thence north in said Simmons Street to Leslie Avenue where a manhole will be constructed which will be terminus of Lateral 364. Branch 1. Beginning at an existing manhole in the intersection of Haskett Avenue and 10 feet north of the south line of Talley Drive, thence west along a line 10 feet north of the center line of Talldy Drive 150 feet to manhole "B", continued west 160 feet to manhole "C", which is at the intersection of Talley Drive and 10 feet west of the center line of Page Avenue, thence north along a line 10 feet west of the center line of Page Avenue 140 feet to Manhole "D" which is in the easement first north of Talley Drive, thence west 150 feet in easement to manhole "E" which is in the intersection of first easement west of Page Avenue and first easement north of Talley Drive, thence north 325 feet in easement first west of Page Avenue to manhole "F" thence northeast 205 feet in said easement to manhole "G" which will be terminus of Branch # 1. Branch 2. Beginning at manhole "B" which is 10 feet north of the center line o Talley Drive, and in easement first west of Haskett extended, thence north in said easement 300 feet to manhole "H", thence continue north 300 feet to manhole "I" which will be terminus of Branch # 2. Branch 3. Beginning at an existing lamp hole which is in the easement first west of Ingman Road at the rear of Lots 6 and 17, Block 6, Ingermanson Addition, thence south 295 feet to a manhole that will be constructed which will be terminus of Branch #= 3 and Lateral 367. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements; as shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. CONSOLIDATED-JALINA 1 1 Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in.the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposals of said contractor and under the terms' of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price of $15,103.50 for such work, such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1958, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as may the money for the payment of the cost of such work be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after; its publication once in the official city paper.
