90-4213 Advis Sidewalk ConstrucKuhn -Cox Printing — Saline, Kansas RESOLUTION NUMBER 90-4213 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS IN CERTAIN DISTRICTS AND GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: That a public hearing shall be held by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, on the advisability of the following improvements: Property line sidewalk along the east side of OHIO STREET from Martin Avenue to Ellsworth Avenue; Curb line sidewalk along the the south side of REPUBLIC AVENUE from Broadway Boulevard to Windsor Drive; Property line sidewalk along the south side of REPUBLIC AVENUE from Windsor Drive to Sunset Park; Property line sidewalk along the east side of BROADWAY BOULEVARD from Armory Road to Crawford Street; Curb line sidewalk along the south side of CLOUD STREET from the Missouri Pacific railroad tracks to Roberts Avenue; Property line sidewalk along the south side of CLOUD STREET from Dover Drive east to the Missouri Pacific railroad tracks; Property line sidewalk along the north side of CLOUD STREET from a point west of Bel Air Drive to Broadway Boulevard; Property line sidewalk along the west side of BELMONT BOULEVARD from Quincy Street to Magnolia Road; Curb line sidewalk along the south side of KENWOOD PARK DRIVE from YMCA Drive west 450; to the existing sidewalk; Curb line sidewalk along the east side of Prescott Road from Kenwood Park Drive south 384' to the existing sidewalk; Property line sidewalk along the east side of ARLINGTON DRIVE to the existing sidewalk at the west of the Flood Control Dike. on the 6th day of August, 1990, at 4:00 p.m., in the City Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, as provided by K.S.A. 12-6a01 to 12-6a18. PrinIing —Salina, Kansas The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $88,515.00. The apportionment of cost between the Improvement District and the City -at -large is as follows: 1. Costs chargeable to private property in the amount of $17,012.92. 2. Costs chargeable to the City -at -large in the amount of $71,502.08. The assessment with accrued interest shall be levied as a special tax upon the property included within the benefit district concurrent with the general property taxes and shall be payable in Four (4) equal annual installments. The method of assessment shall be based on the square footage of the sidewalk actually constructed. The hearing may be adjourned from time to time until the Board of Commissioners shall have made findings by Resolution as to the advisability of the improvement district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of the cost between the improvement district and the City -at -large, All as finally determined by the Board of Commissioners, provided, the area of the improvement district may be less than, but shall not exceed the area proposed to be assessed as stated in this notice without giving notice and holding a new hearing on the improvement. All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting.
