AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE
CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED
ELECTORS OF SAID CITY THE PROPOSITION TO ISSUE THE GENE'RAI]OBLIGATION
BONDS OF SAID CITY IN THE AMOUNT OF, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ERECTING AND EQUIPPING A PUBLIC BUILDINGsFOR THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas, it is expedient, and the service and welfare
can be advanced by erecting and equipping a public buildingsfor the
City of Salina, Kansas, and
WHEREAS, the cost of erecting and equipping a public building
for the City of Salina, Kansas, will not exceed the estimated amount
of $��: ` and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to issue the general obligation bonds
of said city to pay the cost of the erecting and equipping a public
buildingsfor the City of Salina, Kansas; and
WHEREAS, it is necesFary before said bonds way be legally issued
to submit the proposition of issuing the sawe for such purposes to
the qualified electors of said City at an election to be held within
thirty (30) days frow the date of the adoption and publication of
this ordinance; and
and WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas, is a city of the first class;
WHEREAS, the issuance of said bonds and others now contemplated
will not create a debt in excess of the limit now provided by law, and
SO NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the preambles of this ordinance are hereby incor-
porated herein and that an election is hereby called and ordered to be
held in the City of Salina, Kansas, on Tuesday, November 4 . 1958,
between the hours of 6:00 o'clock A.m. and 7:00 o'clock Y.M.6f said
day, at the time of the regular general election, and within thirty
(30) days after the adoption and publication of this ordinance accord-
ing to law, to submit to the qualified electors of the said city the
proposition of issuing general obligation bonds of said city in the
amount of5�? } to pay the cost of erecting and equipping a
public building or the City of Salina, Kansas; that such election
shall be held at the usual places of holding elections, to -wit:

Said election shall be conducted by the officers and persons provided
by .law for holding elections in said City of Salina, Kansas, and that
the Mayor and at least two additional members of the Board of Commis-
sioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, shall and they are hereby
ordered and directed to publish notice of said election in the manner
and form directed and required by Section .10-120 General Statutes of
Kansas, 1949.
Section 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall.

NOTICE OF BOND ELECTION
Notice is hereby given to all qualified electors of the City
of Salina, Kansas, that an election will be held in the City of Salina,
Kansas, on Tuesday, November 4, 1958, between the hours of 6:00
o'clock A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P.m. of said day, Vursuant to and as
provided by Ordinances No. and &7 duly
passed by the Board of Commissioners To - -the City of Salina, Kansas,
for the purpose of submitting to said qualified electors the following
propositions:
(1) FIRST PROPOSITION: Shall the City of Salina, Kansas, issue
its general obligation bonds in the amount of 5125,000.00 for the pur-
pose of paying the cost of erecting buildings, and i_nproving the
public park system of the City of Salina, Kansas.
(2) SECOND PROPOSITION: Shall the City of Salina, Kansas, issue
its general obligation bonds in an amoumt not to exceed,
for the purpose of paying the cost of erecting and equipping a public
building for the City of Salina, Kansas.
Said election will be held at the following polling places in
said City in the manner provided by law,
