6265 Street ImprovementsCON FDL I DATED -SA LINA ORDINANCE NU14 ER 6265 i (Published in The Salina Journal,) {,� r q, 1958) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with the 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company for the construction of certain curbing, guttering, paving and grading improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on August 19, 1958, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina to said Contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on August 26, 1958, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit; Paving and grading of a North and South Alley between Seventh Street and Eighth Street with concrete (Ten (10) feet wide) from the north line of South Street to the south line of Mulberry Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1950 and Ordinance Number 6258. Paving and grading of Arthur Street with concrete (Twenty- eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from the north line of North Street do the north line of Lincoln Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 1959 and Ordinance Number 6258. Paving and grading of Coronado Street with concrete (Twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from the south line of Jewell Avenue to the east line of Rush Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1988 and Ordinance Number 6258. Curbing and guttering of Coronado Street from the south line of Lot 7, Block 1, of Coronado A tion to the east line of Rush Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1987 and Ordinance Number 6258. Paving and grading of Wilson Streit with concrete (Twenty- eight (28) feet wide from too -�=gutter to toe of gutter) from the east line of Custer Street to the west line of Sherman Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1994, and Ordinance Number 6258. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to add mad parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. I Section _2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and fbrm as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of200 $ ,890 00 for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1959, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cost of such notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption r and publication once in the official city paper.
