6245 Street ImprovementsAN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with the Brown and Brown Construction Company for the resurfacing improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance Of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT MAIM by the Board of Commissioner& of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the Brown and Brown Construction Coommpany, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on June 10, 1958, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of the City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on June 17, 1958, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: Resurfacing of �Col��le� Avenue (37.5 feet wide from curb to curb) wiVE'�t�T�asphaltic concrete from the south line of Park Street to the north line of Walnut Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1964 and Ordinance Number 6234. Resurfacing of Elm Street (47.2 feet wide from curb to curb) with hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the west line of Seventh Street to the east line of Ninth Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1979 and Ordinance Number 6234. Resurfacing of Tenth Street (25.2 feet wide from curb to curb) with hot mixed as tic concrete from the south line of South Street to the south line of Morrison Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 1980 and Ordinance Number 6234. Resurfacing of Morrison Avenue (25 feet wide from curb to curb) with hot nixedasjU=c concrete from the vest line of Ninth street to the east line of Tenth Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1981 and Ordinance Number 6234. Resurfacing of Weil Place (28.5 feet wide from curb to curb) with hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the east line of Eighth Street to to twit line of Seventh Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 1982 and Ordinance Number 6234. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinace, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Sect_ 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City lagineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be isom .frac time to tis as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by lav the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $M,410.00 for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to =two not later than December 1, 1959, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cost of such notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4.
