A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND THE
CITY CLERK TO ATTEST AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS, AND JIM SWEDLUND TO PROVIDE APPRAISAL AND ACQUISITION
SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($78,400).
WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas, has scheduled improvements on
Crawford Street from Ohio Street to Broadway Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, ninety-eight (98) tracts of land abutting Crawford Street
require acquisition of easement and/or right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, these tracts of land will require appraisals and negotiation
of the cost of easements and right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, utilizing an experienced third parts to provide these
services is beneficial to the City of Salina, Kansas; SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Salina are
hereby authorized to execute an agreement between the City of Salina, Kansas,
and Jim Swedlund to provide appraisal and acquisition services on the Crawford
Street Project in an amount not to exceed seventy-eight thousand four hundred
dollars ($78,400).
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
7th day of January, 1991.
