05-10297 Annex E Magnolia Rd(Published in the Salina Journal on August 14-1 2005) ORDINANCE NUMBER 05-10297 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED SOUTH OF MAGNOLIA ROAD AND WEST OF THE SMOKY HILL RIVER, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 w TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE. m BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: ti Section 1. That the following described tracts of land, to -wit: All that part of Lot One, Block One, Lakeview Estates Addition lying East of the Flood Control Levee and a tract of land located in the Northwest Quarter (NW /4) of Section 32 and the North Half of the Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of Section 31, all in Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the 6th P.M. in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Section 32, thence on an assumed bearing of S 00°30'25" E, along the West line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 70.00 feet to a point on the South right of way line of Magnolia Road, said point being the point of beginning; Thence S 89 ° 55'37" E, along said South right of way line, a distance of 224.15 feet, to a point on the West line of the Flood Control Right of Way; Thence S 20' 13'40" E, along said Flood Control Right of Way, a distance of 1114.36 feet; Thence S 59 '48'39" E, along said Flood Control Right of Way, a distance of 348.86 feet; Thence N 61 ° 23'09" E a distance of 77.15 feet to a point on the meandering line of the centerline of the Smoky Hill River; Thence S 17 ° 14'31" W, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 101.02 feet; Thence S 25 ° 38'42" W, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 160.49 feet; Thence S 32 ° 47'30" W, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 193.07 feet; Thence S 32 ° 48'47" E, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 76.87 feet; Thence S 00 ° 51'01" W, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 182.59 feet; Thence S 01 ° 47'00" E, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 412.79 feet; Thence S 19 ° 01'47" E, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 264.45 feet; Thence S 35 ° 56'16" E, continuing along said meandering line, a distance of 156.42 feet, to a point on the South line of said Northwest Quarter; Thence S 88 ° 59'01"W, along said South line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 981.82 feet, to the Southwest corner of said Northwest Quarter, said corner also being the Southeast corner of said Lot One, Block One, Lakeview Estates Addition; Thence N 15 ° 34'48" W, along the east line of the Flood Control Levee a distance of 1307.66 feet; Thence N 19 ° 30'29" W a distance of 96.67 feet to a point on the South line of the North Half of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 31; Thence N 18 ° 51 '57" W, a distance of 177.81 feet; Thence N 16 ° 56'07" W, a distance of 169.72 feet; Thence N 19 ° 45'00" W, a distance of 983.08 feet to a point on the South right of way of Magnolia Road, said point being 90.00 feet South of the North line of said Northeast Quarter; Thence N 74 ° 5525" E, along said South right of way, a distance of 82.70 feet, to a point being 70.00 feet South of the North line of said Northeast Quarter; Thence N 88 ° 55'10" E, along said South right of way line, a distance of 720.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 2,748,387 square feet, or 63.1 acres, more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, are hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That the tract of land described above shall be zoned A-1 (Agricultural) upon annexation into the city. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
