6350 Street ImprovementsCON SCI.IDATED-SALIVA 1 1 F-� I ORDINANCE NUMBER 6350 (Published in The Salina Journal 1959) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with the 0. D. Wi.lmoth Construction Companyl for the construction of certain improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansa', and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners od June 30, 1959, which is hereby found to be the lowest and beat bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of the City to said Contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on July 7, 1959, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: The curbing, guttering and paving with 6" reinforced concrete, 26 feet wide, back to back, Willis Avenue from the east line of Haskett to the west line of Hageman. The curbing, guttering and paving with 6" reinforced concrete, 26 feet wide, back to back, of Maple Avenue from the east line of Haskett to the west line of Hageman. The curbing, guttering and paving with 6" reinforced concrete, 33 feet wide, back to back, of Garden Avenue from the east line of Haskett to the west line of Hageman. The curbing, guttering and paving with 6" reinforced concrete, 33 feet wide, back to back, of Hageman Avenue from the south line of Slab on Broadway Boulevard to the south line of Garden. The curbing, guttering and paving with 6" reinforced concrete, 33 feet wide, back to back, of Haskett Avenue from the south line of Willis Avenue to the south line of Talley Yrive. The curbing, guttering and paving with 6" reinforced concrete, 33 feet wide, back to back, of Talley Drive from the west line of Haskett to the west line of Ingman Road, at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred.to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements , shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $121,400.4+0 for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, CONSOLTDATED-SALINA 1 1 1960, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cost of such notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and pub4cation once in the official city paper.
