certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance of temporary
notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the
Oi 14 Wilmoth Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted

j to the Board of Commissioners on May 19, 1959, which is hereby found to be the lowest and

best bid for such work and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on May 26, 1959,
for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit:
Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Albert Avenue
with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of
curb to back of curb) from the east line of Roach Street to
the west line of Ohio Street, as provided for by Resolution
Number 2126 and Ordinance Number 6325•
Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Beverly Drive with
concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to
back of curb) from the west line of Duvall Avenue to the
center line of Broadway Boulevard, as provided for by
Resolution Number 2104 and Ordinance Number 6325.
Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Elm Street with
concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to
back of curb) from the west line of College Street to the
west line of Chicago Street, as provided for by Resolution
Number 2083 and Ordinance Number 6325.
Curbing, guttering and grading of Elmore Drive from the north
line of Crawford Avenue to the south line of Prescott Road,

right-of-way line of the Union pacific Railhead, as provided

Paving and grading of Beloit Avenue with concrete (Twenty-
eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from
the west line of Lewis Avenue to the west line of Ohio Street,
as provided for by Resolution Number 2139 and. Ordinance Number
6325.
Curbing, ring, paving and grading of Hamilton Street with

of Twelfth Street, as provided for by Resolution Number 2138
and Ordinance Number 6325,
at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract
are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified
and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown
by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which
estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2_ Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans
and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City
Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said
contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance.

Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be
issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law,
the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $318,356.50 for such work, such notes
to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1,

1960, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the
i
cost of auch notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the
I
time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.

Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
