RESOLUTION NUMBER 05-6196
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO
CITY MANAGER, DENNIS M. HISSINGER, FOR HIS VISIONARY LEADERSHIP AND
OUTSTANDING MANAGEMENT DURING HIS EMPLOYMENT WITH THE CITY OF
SALINA FROM FEBRUARY 15, 1988 TO JULY 4, 2005.
WHEREAS, during the period from February 15, 1988 to July 4, 2005, DENNIS M.
HISSINGER, serving as City Manager, exemplified superior leadership and management by his
outstanding public service, untiring personal initiative, and his dedication to and caring for City
employees, which significantly enhanced the performance and efficiency of City government and
inspired those associated with him to strive for excellence in the conduct of the public's business.
WHEREAS, DENNIS M. HISSINGER has demonstrated invaluable and dedicated
service to the City of Salina; and
WHEREAS, such service and dedication to his job and the interest of the City of
Salina are worthy of public recognition; SO NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 1. That an official expression of gratitude and appreciation be presented to
DENNIS M. HISSINGER, for his dedicated and faithful service to Salina's citizens and its
employees as the longest tenured City Manager in the history of the City, and for his insistence and
tireless efforts to ensure that the business of the public was always conducted in the most caring,
professional and ethical manner.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to have this resolution delivered to
DENNIS M. HISSINGER.
