BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. For the purpose of paying for that part of the oost of improvements in certain portions of certain streets as hereinafter not forth in the following sections of this ordinance, which is chargeable to the private property in the s►asessment districts for each of such improvements, respectively, as set forth in the following sections of this ordii with respect to each of such improvements, there is hereby levied and assessed on the propert liable therefore, being all the lots and pieces of land lying on eigher side of said streetei improved, respectively, to the middle of the block for the distance improved with respect to the improvements mentioned in Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 of this ordinance, according to the appraised value of such lots and pieces of ground with respect to each such improvements, without regard to the buildings or thereon, special assessments covering the cost of such work and improvements, said sp, ing s CONSOLIDATED-SALINA assessments being based on the special valuation and appraisement of said lots and pieces of ground therefore made by three disinterested appraisers appointed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, with respect to each such improvement which said appraisements are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, and the sevenal amounts so levied, apportioned and assessed against the lots and pieces of ground for each such improvement, respectively, for the purpose aforesaid, are hereby found and determined to be the amounts set forth in the following sections of this ordinance with respect to each of said i"rovements. Section 2. Said amounts so levied, apportioned and assessed as aforesaid will be due and collectible in ten equal installments, the first becoming due with the taxes levied for 1, the year 1960, and one of said installments falling dee each and every year thereafter until all are paid and all to be collected with interest as in this ordinance provided, HOWEVER, that the owner of any piece of property liable for any such assessment may redeem his property i from such liability by paying to the City Treasury the entire amount chargeable against the I same, as in this ordinance provided, at any time within thirty days after the publication ofl this ordinance and before the issuance of bonds of said City in payment of the balance of tho I cost of said improvements, the property so paid on shall not hereafter be liable for any further assessments for the cost of such improvements nor for any part of said bonds. Section 21.
