6437 Street ImprovementsCONSOLIDATED -SALIVA t C 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 6437 (Published in The Salina Journal _,�, , 1860) AN ORDINANCR RAtifying and confirming a contract with the 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company! for the construction of certain improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas and peeviding for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the; issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Ceaaissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on April 19, 1960, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Comissioners of the City to said contractor and signed on be4alf of the City by its Mayor on April 26, 1960, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: This improvement consists of a 6" reinforced concrete pavement with incidental work thereto, to service all lots and parcels of land included within the boundaries of the benefit district; a 4" oomatete sidewalk, water service, and an 8" sanitary sewer to serve all the lots in Shalimar Plaza Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Shalimar Drive; grading, paving and curbing 33' back tp back from the east line of Ohio Street to the north line of Wayne Avenue. Albert Avenue; grading, paving and curbing 33' back to back from the east line of Ohio Street to the east line of Mission Road. Glendale Road; grading, paving and curbing 33' back to back from the south line of Albert Avenue to the north line of Corsaut Court. Mission Road: grading, paving and curbing 33' back to back from the south line of Albert Avenue to the north line of Sarah Lane. Lambertson Lane: grading, paving and curbing 33' back to back from the north line of Sarah Lane to the west line of MisAion Reed. Sarah Lane: grading, paving and curbing 33' back to back grow the east line of Shalimar Drive to the east line of Lot 10, Block 14, Shalimar Plaza Addition. Corsaut Court; grading, paving and curbing 33' back to back from Lot 12, Block 10, Shalimar Plaza Addition to the west line of Mission Road. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contra are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said porposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by t he sworn estimates of the City Uginees on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA 1 Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $161,239.10, for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1961, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cost of such notes being issued to said contractor and to Ln redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
