ORDINANCE NUMBER 6131 C

AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with the Doerfler-Krapff Construction
Company for the construction of certain improvements en certain streets in the City of
Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance'of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof
pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal;
of the Doerfler-Krapff Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as
submitted to the Board of Commissioners on March 22, 1960, which is hereby found to be the
lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Salina, to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on
March 29, 1960, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina,
Kansas, to -wit:
The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Tulane
Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from
back of curb to back of curb) from the east line of Haskett
Avenue to the north line of Lena Avenue, as provided for
by Resolution Number 2305.
The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Lena Avenue
with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb
to back of curb) from the east line of Haskett Avenue to
the west line of Hageman Avenue, as provided for by Resolution
Number 2306.
The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Harold Avenue,
with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb
to back of curb) from the east line of Haskett Avenue to the
west line of Hageman Avenue, as provided for by Resolution
Number 2307.
The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Yale Avenue
with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb
to back of curb) from the south line of Lena Avenue to the north
line of Harold Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2309.
The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Yale Avenue
with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to
back of curb) from the south line of Harold Avenue to the west
line of Hageman Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2310.
The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Marvin Avenue
with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb
to back of curb) from the south line of Harold Avenue to the
west line of Hageman Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number
2311.
The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Yale Avenue with
concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet vide from back of curb to back
of curb) from the east line of Haskett Avenue to the north
line of Lena Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2308.
at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and
contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby
ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements
as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City Cler
which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance.

Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the
plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the Office of
the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms
of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be
issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law,
the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of$ l r °� for such work, such
notes to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than j
December 1, 1961, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the
payment of the cost of such notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and
cancelled at the time that payment bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
