6417 Street ImprovementsCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 F 1 I ORDINANCE NUMBER 7' (Published in The Salina Journal 1960) AN ORDINANCE Ratifying and confirming a contract with the M. L. Michaelsen Construction Company for the construction of certain improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED By the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the M. L. Michaelsen Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on February 16, 1960, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of CommissioneIs i of the City of Salina, to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on February 23, 1960, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salin,, Kansas, to -wit: The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Andrew Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the east line of Harold Avenue to the west line of Page Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2272. The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Harold Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the south line of Talley Drive to the west line of Haskett Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2271. The curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Haskett Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the north line of Talley Drive to the south line of Ingermanson Heights Second Addition, as provided for by Resolution Number 2276. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Page Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the east line of Harold Avenue to the north line of Lot 1, Block 6, Ingermanson Heights Second Addition, as provided for by Resolution Number 2275. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Talley Drive with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the west line of Haskett Avenue to the west line of Harold Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2270. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Yale Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the east line of Page Avenue to the west line of Haskett Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2274. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Yale Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the east line of Harold Avenue to the west line of Page Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2273. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Kenny Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the south line of Talley Drive to the north line of Andrew Avenue, as provided for by Resolution Number 2277. s CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA 1 1 1 at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby; ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements I as shown by the sworn estimates of the 1'ity Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerl, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part or this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $ /T3 / 7.7 ��, for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1961, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cost of such notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
