AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the
City,of Salina, Kansas, prescribing the corporate limits of said City, including land
described in Ordinance Numbers 6308, 6330 and 6384, and repealing Section 2 of Ordinance
Number 6292.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina,
Kansas, have come to pass, AND NOW
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That certain unplatted tract of land described as a part of the west half
of Section 17-14-2, Saline County, Kansas, so situated that 213 of a line or boundary lies
upon or touches the boundary of the existing city limits of the City of Salina, Kansas
described as follows:
(1) Beginning at a point 200.0 feet east of the west line
of said Section 17 which also is the center line of Mary -
mount Road and 200.00 feet north of the center line of the
extension of Greeley Road,
(2) thence east and parallel to the center line of the
extension of Greeley Road 535.55 feet,
(3) thence south and parallel to the west line of said
Section 17, 1840.0 feet,
(4) thence west and parrallel to the extension of the
center line of Greeley Road 535.55 feet,
(5) thence north and parallel to the west line of said
Section 17, 1840.0 feet more or less to the point of
beginning.
be and the same is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That certain unplatted tract of land described as in the Southwest
Quarter (SW U of Section Twenty-six (26) Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3)
West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point that is the Northeast (NE) corner of the Southwest
Quarter (SWk) of said Section Twenty-six (26); thence South
seven -hundred and fifty-six and one-tenth (756.1') feet
along the East line of the said Southwest Quarter (SWk)
to a point on the North right-of-way line of Interstate
35 W; thence Northwesterly along the North right-of-way
line of Interstate 35 W to a point that is the inter-
section of the said North right-of-way line and the
North line of the said Southwest Quarter (SWk); thence East
six hundred and ninety-six and four one -hundredths
(696.04') feet along the North line of the said
Southwest Quarter (SWk) to the point of beginning.
Said tract contains 6.0 acres, more or less,
be and the same is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, Kansas.

Section 3. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same is hereby

extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and made part of said City under
the provisions of the preceding sections of this ordinance and of Ordinance Number

6308, Sections 1 and 2; Ordinance Number 6330, Section 1, 2 and 3; Ordinance Number
6384, Section 1, 2 and 3; and that all of the land lying within the following
described boundaries be and the same is hereby declared to be within the Corporate
Limits, hereby defined as:
(1) Beginning at the section corner common to Sections
22, 23, 26, 27, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the
Sixth Principal Meridian, being the intersection of the
center lines of Cloud Street and Cherokee Avenue extended;
(2) thence north on the west line of said Section 23 to the west
quarter corner of said Section 23, being the intersection
of Republic Avenue and Cherokee Avenue;
(3) thence west along the south line of the northeast
quarter of said Section 22 to the west line of
Edgemere Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas;
(4) thence north along the west line of said Edgemere
Addition and extended north 1442.44 ft. north of the
center line of Crawford Avenue;
(5) thence east to a point 1267.25 ft. east of the west
line of Section 14, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of
the Sixth Principal Meridian;
(6) thence north to the center line of Dry Creek;
(7) thence in a north and northeasterly direction following
the center line of Dry Creek to its intersection with the
center line of Grand Avenue, which is at the center line
of bridge;
(8) thence northeasterly following the center line of Dry
Creek to the center line of Euclid Avenue;
(9) thence east along the center line of Euclid Avenue to
a point 159.6 ft. west of the east 1/4 corner of Section
2, Township 14 South, Range 3, west of the Sixth Principal
Meridian;
(10) thence north 395 feet, more or less, to the point
in the center line of the original channel of Dry Creek;
(11) thence northerly and westerly following said Dry
Creek channel to its intersection with the north line of
the south half of the northeast quarter of said Section 2;
(12) thence east to a point 106.1 feet west of the east
line of the northeast quarter of said Section 2, Town-
ship 14 South, Range 3 West,
(13) thence south 237.8 feet;
(14) thence east 45 feet;
(15) thence south 512 feet;
(16) thence east 5 feet;
(17) thence south 413 feet;

(19) thence south to a point on the south line of the northeast
quarter of said Section 2, which being 84.6 feet west of
the east quarter corner of Section 2, Township 14 South,
Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian;
(20) thence east 84.6 feet to the said corner of Section 2;
(21) thence north approximately 90 feet along the section
line common to Section 1 and 2, Township 14 South, Range
3 West, to the intersection with the center line of the
original channel of Dry Creek;
(22) thence east following the center of said channel
of Dry Creek to a point where it intersects the east
right-of-way line of US 81 Highway;
(23) thence north on said right-of-way line to a point 310 feet
north of the south line of the north half of Section 1,
Township 14 South, Range 3 West;
(24) thence west 30 feet along the east right-of-way
line of US 81 Highway;
(25) thence north along said right-of-way line 785.2 feet;
(26) thence east 330 feet to the center line of the original
channel of Dry Creek;
(27) thence in a southerly and westerly direction following
the center line of the original channel of Dry Creek to its
intersection with the north line of College Court Addition
to the City of Salina, Kansas;
(28) thence east along the north line of College Court
Addition to the center line of a public road known as
Fifth Street;
(29) thence south along said center line of said Fifth Street
Road to the center line of Euclid Avenue, which point is 1300
feet east of the west quarter corner of Section 1, Township
14 South, Range 3 West;
(30) thence east on the center line of Euclid Avenue to the
northeast corner of the southwest quarter of Section 1, Township
14 South, Range 3 West, being the intersection of Euclid Avenue and
Front Street;
(31) thence south along the east line of the southwest quarter
Section 1, Township 14, South, Range 3 West, to the south
quarter corner of said Section 1, being the intersection of
the center lines of Front Street and Pacific Avenue, and
continuing south along the east line of the northwest quarter
of Section 12, Township 14 South, Range 3 West to a point which
it intersects the south line of the main right-of-way of the
Union Pacific Railroad Company;
(32) thence northeasterly along the southerly line of said
railroad right-of-way to the east line of Section 12,
Township 14 South, Range 3 West;
(33) thence south along said section line, being the center line
of Ohio Street to the center line of channel of the Smoky
Hill River;

of the Sixth Principal Meridian;
(78) thence north along said east line of Section 26 to
the point of beginning.
Section 4. That Section 2 of Ordinance Number 6292 be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
