AN ORDINANCE authorising and providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of
Salina, Kansas, all in the sum of $910,563.15, to pay the cost of improving certain streets
in said city to be designated as Series Number P-182.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had according to law, contracts have been let and
performed for the construction of the following street improvements to the City of Salina,
Kansas, to -wit:

with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of
curb to back of curb) from the east line of Duvall Avenue
to the west line of Whittinghill Avenue, as provided for by

WHEREAS, the total cost of said improvements has been ascertained and the portion thereof in
the amount of $285,505.51 to be paid by general taxes to be levied upon all taxable property
within said city for the improvement of squares and areas formed by the coresing of streets
and alleys and for the improvement of any of said streets, where the same is through or
adjacent to property of the City for which the City is liable, for which bonds are to be
issued; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of said curbing, guttering, paving and grading of said streets, which
are to be paid by special assessments and to be levied upon lots and pieces of ground liable
for the payment of said curbing, guttering, paving and grading in said streets has been
ascertained and has been hereby found and determined to be the sum of $613,461.1 which amoun
has been heretofore duly assessed and apportioned to the several lots and pieces of ground
liable therefor according to law provided for in the Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas
relating thereto, duly passed and approved of which amount the sum of $i8,30s06 has been dul,
paid by the property owners liable therefor, leaving a balance of $625,057.64 for which bonds
are to be issued; and
WHEREAS, bonds in the aggregate sum of $910,563.15 are to be issued to pay the actual cost
thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the foregoing preambles be and they are hereby adopted as a part of this
ordinance and that for the purpose of providing funds to pay the cost of the improvements
hersiaibove referred to and described in the ordinances and resolutions of said City and
hereinbefore referred to, there shall be issued Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of
Salina, Kansas, in the total principal sum of $910,563.15, which shall consist of Nine Hundred
Bonds numbered 1 to 455 inclusive,
Ten bonds Numbered 1 to 910, inclusive all dated December 1, 1959, 129SAUxshall bear interest

Kansas, acknowledges itself to be indebted and for value received hereby promises to pay to
the bearer the sum of DOLLARS in lawful money of the

General Statutes of Kansas, 1949, and amendments thereto, and all other provisions of the
laws of said state applicable thereto, and this bond and all other bonds of this series, and
all interest thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina, Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions, and things required to be
done and exist precedent to and in the issuance of this bond have been properly done and
performed and do exist in due and regular form and manner as required by the constitution
and laws of the State of Kansas, and that the total indebtedness of said city, including this
series of bonds, does not exceed any constitutional or statutory limitation.
