Wilmoth Construction Compan� for the construction of certain improvements on certain streets in theCity of Salina, Kansai, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the 8tty of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the i 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October 13, 1959, which is hereby found to be the lowest a�d best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on October 20, 1959, construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: The paving and grading of Alley with concrete (Fifteen feet wide) first east of Ninth Street from Cloud Street to the north line of Lot 84, on Ninth Street, Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University. raving and grading of Alley, First North of Kirwin with concrete (Sixteen (16) feet wide) from Santa Fe Avenue west 117.3 feet. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Cloud Street with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the east line of Lewis Avenue to the west line of Ohio Street. Paving and grading of Eleventh Street with concrete (Twenty- eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from the north line of Woodlawn Avenue to the north line of Cloud Street. Paving and grading of Eleventh Street with concrete (Twenty- eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from the south line of Claflin Avenue to the south line of Woodlawn Avenue. Curbing, guttering,gpving and grading of Gypsum Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the east line of Wisconsin to a point 272 feet east. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Hamilton Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of Ninth Street. Paving and grading of Hageman Avenue with concrete (Thirty- three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the south line of Garden Avenue to a point 338 feet south of the south line of Yale Avenue. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Lewis Avenue with concrete (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the south line of Minneapolis Avenue to the south line of Republic Avenue. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Talley Drive with concrete (thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) from the west line of Ingman Road to the east right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Paving and grading of Tenlawns with concrete (Twenty- eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from the north line of Frost Street to the south line of Brown Street. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Carlton Place (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) with two (2) inch hot asphalt mix over a six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the west line of Ingman Road to the east line of Roberts Avenue. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Dover Drive (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) with two (2) inch hot asphalt mix over a six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the north line of Teakwood Street to the south line of Winona Street. ' Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Holiday Street (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) with two (2) inch hot asphalt mix over a six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the south line of South Street to the west line of Clark Street. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Teakwood Street (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) with two (2) inch hot asphalt mix over a six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the east line of Winona Street to the east line of Dover Drive. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Westwood Road (Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb) with two (2) inch hot asphalt mix over a six #6) inch crushed rock base, from the north line of Winona Street to the south line of Teakwood Street. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the p and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $167,156.00, for such work, such notes I contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $167,156.00, for such work, such notes CONSOLIDATED-SALTNA 1 to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than Decenber 1, 1960, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cost of such notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
