RESOLUTION NUMBER 92-4497
A RESOLUTION REGULATING SPEED AND AUTHORIZING THE
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS ADJACENT TO CERTAIN
SCHOOL GROUNDS AND AT CERTAIN SCHOOL CROSSINGS WITHIN THE CITY
OF SALINA, KANSAS.
Kansas:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. That in accordance with the provisions of Article 20,
Chapter 8 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, the speed regulations and traffic
control devices set forth herein are hereby approved.
A reduced speed school zone crossing on Ohio Street between Lewis
Street and Roach Street is hereby established at 20 m.p.h.
The speed limit on East Crawford Street between Front Street and
Elmore Drive is hereby established at 30 m.p.h.
Section 2.
That
the City
Manager is
authorized
and
directed
to
implement the traffic
control
changes
hereinbefore
described
by
causing
the
necessary signs to be installed in accordance therewith.
Section 3. That the provisions of this resolution shall be in
effect upon adoption of this resolution and upon the installation of the
appropriate signs or markings giving notice thereof.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
17th day of August, 1992. r
