6482 GO Bonds - LibraryCONSOLIDATED-SALINA LJ CJ 1 1 1 � ORDINANCE NUMBER�7 Published in the Salina Journal KJIPD AN ORDINANCE calling a special election to be held in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the purpose of submitting to the qual- ified electors of the said City the proposition to issue the gen- eral obligation bonds of said City in the amount of Seven Hundred Twenty Seven Thousand Dollars ($727,000.00) for the purpose of paying the cost of purchasing a site for, and erecting, construct- ing, furnishing and equipping a public building thereon for said City, to -wit: a public library. WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, deems it necessary and to the best public interest to provide for the purchasing of a site for, and erecting, constructing, furnish- ing and equipping a public buildipg thereon for said City, to -wit: a public library; and WHEREAS, the cost of purchasing such a site, and erecting, con- structing, furnishing and equipping a public building thereon for said City will not exceed the estimated amount of Seven Hundred Twenty Seven Thousand Dollars ($727,000.00); and WHEREAS, it is necessary to issue general obligation bonds of said City to pay the cost of purchasing a site for, and erecting, constructing, furnishing and equipping thereon said public building; and WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas, is a city of the first class with a population of less than sixty thousand (60,000); SO NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be in substantially the following form: OFFICIAL BALLOT Shall the following be adopted: Shall the City of Salina, Kansas, issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of $727,000.00 for the purpose of paying the cost of purchasing a site for, and erecting, constructing, furnish- ing and equipping a public building thereon for said city, to -wit: a public library? To vote in favor of the bonds make a cross (X) mark in the square after the word "YES". To vote against the bonds make a cross (X) mark in the square after the word "NO". YES .
