RESOLUTION NUMBER 93-4635
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF NOT TO EXCEED
$165,000 OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OR TEMPORARY NOTES OF THE
CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, TO FINANCE THE INSTALLATION AND
MODIFICATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON MAIN TRAFFICWAYS WITHIN THE
CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas (the "City"), has designated
Ohio Street, Crawford Street, Ash Street and Iron Avenue as main trafficways
within the City under the laws of the State of Kansas, including K.S.A. 12-685
et. seq. . (the "Act") ; and
WHEREAS,
the governing body of the City hereby finds
and
determines that it is
necessary to install and modify
traffic signals at
Ohio
and Republic Streets,
Crawford Street and Santa Fe
Avenue, Crawford
and
Ohio Streets, Fifth
and Ash Streets and Fifth Street
and Iron Avenue
(the
"Project") and that
the City has insufficient funds to
pay for the entire
cost
of the Project at the
present time; and
City that are
available for such
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City hereby finds and
determines that it is necessary for the City to issue its general obligation
bonds and pending the issuance of general obligation bonds, its temporary
notes (the "Obligations") to pay all or a portion of the costs of the Project
under the authority of the Act and K.S.A. 12-685 et. seq., the balance of
said costs to be paid as hereinafter set forth; SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina
Kansas:
Section 3. The City expects to make expenditures on and after the
date of adoption of this Resolution in connection with the Project, and intends
to reimburse itself for such expenditures with the proceeds of the Obligations
of the City. The maximum principal amount of Obligations expected to be
issued is $165,000.
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
13th day of September, 1993.

to acquire the Project.
Section 2. It is necessary for
the City to
issue its Obligations
to pay all
or a portion of the costs of the
Project in an
amount not to exceed
$165,000
under the authority of the Act,
the balance
of the costs of the
Project to be paid from other funds of the
City that are
available for such
purpose.
Section 3. The City expects to make expenditures on and after the
date of adoption of this Resolution in connection with the Project, and intends
to reimburse itself for such expenditures with the proceeds of the Obligations
of the City. The maximum principal amount of Obligations expected to be
issued is $165,000.
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from
