ORDINANCE NUMBER 04-10245
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACT
OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land located in Section 30, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 30;
- Thence N 00°32'15" W along the East line of said Southwest Quarter a distance of
2450.27 feet to the Northwest Corner of Lot 21, Block 3 River Trail Addition said
point also being the point of beginning of the tract to be described;
- Thence along the West line of Block 3 River Trail Addition on a curve to the left
having a radius of 480.28 feet, an arc distance of 402.38 feet, a chord bearing of S
58°29'49" W and a chord distance of 390.72 feet;
- Thence continuing along said West line of Block 3 River Trail on a curve to the left
having a radius of 504.57 feet, an arc distance of 375.15 feet, a chord bearing of s
09°22'27" W and a chord distance of 366.57 feet;
- Thence continuing along said West line of Block 3 River Trail on a curve to the left
having a radius of 587.26 feet, an are distance of 295.44 feet, a chord bearing of S
24°42'31" E and a chord distance of 292.33 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 11,
Block 4, Golden Eagle Estates Addition No.2;
- Thence S 35°08'44" W along the North line of said Lot 11 a distance of 198.19 feet
to a point on the West right -of - way line of Redhawk Lane, said point also being on
the East line of Lot 4, Block 7, Golden Eagle Estates Addition;
- Thence N 53021'32" W along said West right-of-way line and East line of Lot 4 a
distance of 27.32 feet;
- Thence continuing along said West right-of-way line and the East line of Lot 4, on a
curve to the right, having a radius of 230.00 .feet, an arc length 39.82 feet, a chord
bearing of N 48°50'25" W and a chord distance of 39.77 feet to the North line of said
Golden Eagle Estates Subdivision;
- Thence S 45°46'35" W along said North line a distance of 87.94 feet;
- Thence S 64°58'22" W continuing along said North line a distance of 69.06 feet;
- Thence S 28°52'09" W continuing along said North line a distance of 78.08 feet;
- Thence S 55°15'37" W continuing along said North line a distance of 145.00 feet;
- Thence S 65°50'30" W continuing along said North line a distance of 212.98 feet;
- Thence S 85°53'45" W continuing along said North line a distance of 200.00 feet;
- Thence S 89°44'53" W continuing along said North line a distance of 150.00 feet to a
point on the east line of a 51 wide foot dedicated drainage easement as described in
Deed Book 365, Page 924 in the office of the Register of Deeds, Salina, Saline
County, Kansas;
- Thence N 00°15'07" W along said east line a distance of 1466.45 feet to the
Northeast corner of said drainage ditch;
- Thence S 89°01 '31 " W along the North line of said drainage ditch a distance of
51.00 feet to the Northeast corner of Mayfair Addition and the Southeast corner of
Shalimar Plaza Addition.
- Thence N 00°58'29" W along the east line of said Shalimar Plaza Addition a distance
of 769.62 feet;

Trail Addition, said line also being the North line of the Southeast Quarter of Section
30, Township 14 South, Range 2 West;
— Thence S 89°05'04" W along said North line a distance of 240.00 feet to the
Northeast corner of said River Trail Addition and the Northwest corner of said
Southeast Quarter;
— Thence S 00°32'15" E along said east line of the Southwest Quarter and the West line
of said River Trail Addition a distance of 186.90 feet to the point of beginning and
containing 2,467,856.59 square feet or 56.65 acres, more or less,
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the area north of Wayne Avenue outside the boundaries of Golden Eagle
Estates Addition No. 4 shall be zoned "A-1" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT upon annexation into the
city.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
