6630 Sidewalk ImprovementsCONSOLIDATED -SALIVA 1 1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 6630 �j (Published in The Salina Journal +—Y , 1962) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with J. S. Frank Construction Company for t construction of Off -Street Parking Contract 102, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansaa of the proposal of the J. S. Frank Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on May 22, 1962, in the amount of $14,350.00 which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said City to said Contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on May 29, 1962, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: Description of the Work: The work to be performed consists of the construction of a pedestrian arcade in and through Lot 124, south 100 block, West side of Santa Fe Avenue. The arcade is approximately 15 feet wide by 10 feet high and 110 feet long. The walls are of Haydite block covered with a polyester wall finish, the ceilings of metal frame constructions covered va the underneath side with accoustical plaster, the floors of paured concrete. The lighting of the arcade is a part of the contract. All signs, lighted and others, are to be furnished by the Contractor. All contract work shall be as designated in the Contract Documents. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the same are hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City Clerk which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $14,350.00 for such work, such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1962, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as may the money for the payment of the cost of such pork be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA 1 1 Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
