ORDINANCE NUMBER

AN ORDINANCE prescribing the corporate limits of said City, including land described in
Ordinance Numbers 6516 and 6525, and repealing Section 3 of Ordinance Number 6497.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina,
Kansas, have come to pass, AND NOW

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the corporate limits of the City of 'Salina be and the same is hereby
extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and made part of said City under the

provisions of Ordinance Number 6516, Section 1; and Ordinance Number 6525, Section 1;
and that all of the land lying within the following described boundaries be and the same is

hereby declared to be within the Corporate Limits, hereby defined as:
(1) Beginning at the section corner common to Sections
22, 23,26, 27, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the
Sixth Principal Meridian, being the intersection of the
center lines of Cloud Street and Cherokee Avenue extended;
(2) thence north on the west line of said Section 23 to the
west quarter corner of said Section 23, being the intersection
of Republic Avenue and Cherokee Avenue;

(3) thence west along the south line of the northeast
quarter of said Section 22 to the west line of Edgemere
Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas:

(4) thence north along the west line of said Edgemere
Addition and extended north to a point 200.0 feet south of the
south line of Crawford Avenue;
(4-1) thence west following a line 200 feet south of the south
!, line of Crawford Avenue 530 feet, more or less, to'the toe of
Flood protection levee;
(4-2) thence northerly following the toe of flood protection
levee to the north line of Crawford Avenue;

(4-3) thence northeasterly following the toe of flood
protection levee to its intersection with a line extended north
from the west line of Edgemere Addition and approximately
710 feet north of the center line of Crawford Avenue;

j (4-4) thence north along a line which would be the extension of the
west line of Edgemere Addition to a point 1442.44 feet north of the
center line of Crawford Avenue.
(5) thence east to a point 1267.25 feet east of the west
line of Section 14, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the
Sixth Principal Meridian;
(6) thence north to the center line of Dry Creek;

(7) thence in a north and northeasterly direction following the
center line of Dry Creek to its intersection with the center line
of Grand Avenue, which is at the center line of bridge;

(8) thence northeasterly following the center line of Dry Creek
to the center line of Euclid Avenue;
(4) thence east along the center line of Euclid Avenue to a point
159.6 feet west of the east quarter corner of Section 2, Township
14 South, Range 3, West of the Sixth Principal Meridian;

(10) thence north 395 feet, more or less, to the point in the
center line of the original channel of Dry Creek;
(11) thence northerly and westerly following said Dry Creek channel
to its intersection with the north line of the south half of the
northeast quarter of said Section 2;
(12) thence east to a point 106.1 feet west of the east line of
the northeast quarter of said Section 2, Township 14, 'South, Range
3 west;
(13) thence south 237.8 feet;
(14) thence east 45 feet;

81 Highway;
(23) thence north on said right-of-way line to a point 310 feet
north of the south line of the north half of Section 1, Township
14 South, Range 3 West;
(24) thence west 30 feet along the east right-of-way of US
81 Highway;
(25) thence north along said right-of-way line 785.2 feet;
(26) thence east 330 feet to the center line of the original
channel of Dry Creek;
(27) thence in a southerly and westerly direction following the
center line of the original channel of Dry Creek to its
intersection with the north line of College Court Addition to
the City of Salina, Kansas;
(28) thence east along the north line of College Court Addition
to the center line of a public road known as Fifth Street;
(29) thence south along said center line of said Fifth Street
Road to the center line of Euclid Avenue, which point is 1300
feet east of the west quarter corner of Section 1, Township
14 South, Range 3 West;
(30) thence east on the center line ofEuclid Avenue to the northeast
corner of the southwest Quarter of Section 1, Township 14, South,
Range 3 West, being the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Front Street;
(31) thence south along the east line of the southwest quarter
Section 1, Township 14 South, Range 3 West, to the south quarter
corner of said Section 1, being the intersection of the center lines
of Front Street and Pacific Avenue, and continuing south along the
east line of the northwest quarter of Section 12, Township
14 South, Range 3 West to a point which it intersects the south
line of the main right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad Company;

417.2 feet west of the section corner common to sections 7-8-17-18,

Magnolia Road, which road is also the common line of Sections 25
and 36;
(58-2) thence west following a line 200 feet south of the center
line of Magnolia Road to a point 200 feet east of the north and
south quarter section line of Section 36;
(58-3) thence south following said line 200 feet east of quarter
section line of Section 36 to a point 200 feet south of the east
and west quarter section line of Section 36;
(58-4) thence west following a line 200 feet south of the east
and west quarter section line of said Section 36 to the east right-
of-way line of U. S. 81 Highway.
(72) thence north along said right-of-way line to a point 200
feet north of the center line of Magnolia Road, the center line
of Magnolia Road being the north line of Section 36, Township 14
South, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian;
(73) thence east along said line 200 feet north of the center
line of Magnolia Road to a point 230 feet west of the center line
of Quincy Street;
(74) thence north along a line 230 feet west of the center line
of Quincy Street to a point 230 feet west and 230 feet south of the
intersection of Wayne and Quincy; also being the center corner of
Section 25, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal
Meridian;
(75) thence west along a line 230 feet south of the center line of
Sections 25 and 26, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian to a point 200 feet east of the center line of
said Section 26, which is the center line of Haskett Avenue extended;
(76) thence south along a line 200 feet east of the center line of
said Section 26 to its intersection with the east line of the right-
of-way of Interstate Highway 35-W;
(77) thence northwesterly following the right-of-way of said
Interstate Highway to its intersection with the west line of
Section 26, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal
Meridian;
(78) thence north along said east line of Section 26 to the point
of beginning.

Section 2. That Section 3 of Ordinance Number 6497 be and it is hereby repealed.

jadoption and publication once in the official city paper.
