6704 Utility Improvements'. CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA j ORDINANCE NUMBER _ko r (Published in The Salina Journal 1963) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with Construction Industries Inc, for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers 476, 482 and 483 and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds, I BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1, That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the Construction Industries Inc., hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to ithe Board of Commissioners on April 9, 1963, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said i City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on April 16, 1963, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit: I j j Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 476 described as follows: An 8 inch clay pipe sewer beginning at a manhole 115 feet west of Beechwood and on the center line of Northwood; thence east along the center line of Northwood 290 feet where a manhole will be constructed which will be the terminus of Lateral 476, Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 482 described as follows: An 8 inch clay pipe sewer, beginning at a manhole to be constructed over a 24 inch existing sewer in Ohio Street and east Prescott Road 9 feet south of the north line of Prescott Road and approximately 15 feet west of the center line of Ohio Street; thence west in the north parking of Prescott Road 9 feet south of the north line thereof to a I point 330 feet west of the west line of Lot 2, Block 2 of the Replat of Lot 16, Garden Home Addition; where a manhole will be constructed j which will be the terminus of Lateral 482. Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 483 described as follows: An 8 inch clay pipe sewer beginning at a manhole to be constructed over an existing sewer at the extension of Eleventh Street and in the south parking of Cloud Street; thence east in the south parking of Cloud Street 445 feet where a manhole will be constructed which will be terminus of Lateral 483. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer an file in the Office of the City Clerk which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposals of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3, That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, ithe total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $8,718.60 for such work such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1964, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as may the money for the payment of the cost of such work be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor I and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof. w�, avi.iun a r.L-�AL1I(A I.v _ 1 Section 4.
