6694 Selling CMBCONSOLIDATED-SALINA J 1 1 ORDINANCE No. a AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING HOURS OF CLOSING, STANDARDS OF CONDUCT, AND CONDITIONS OF OPERATION OF BUSINESSES SELLING CEREAL MALT BEV- ERAGES; AMENDING ORDINANCE 5621, Sec. 1, THE SAME BEING SECTION 6-207 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, 1960, AND REPEALING SAID ORIGINAL ORDINANCE AND SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS: Section 1: That 6-207 of the Code be amended to read as follows: 6-207: Statutory Requirements. (a) No cereal malt beverages may be sold between the hours of twelve (12) midnight and six (6) A.M. or on Sunday or on the day of any national, state, county, or local elections including primary elections, during the hours the polls are open, within the political area in which such election is held. (b) No private rooms or closed booths shall be operated in said place of business. (c) Said place of business shall be open to the public and to the police at all times during business hours. (d) No person shall have any alcoholic liquor in his posses- sion while in said place of business. (e) No person shall knowingly or unknowingly sell, give away, dispose of, exchange and deliver, or permit the sale, giving away, or procuring of any cereal malt beverage for or to any person below the age of eighteen (18) years; and no person under the age of eighteen (18) years shall represent that he is of the age of eighteen (18) years or over for the purpose of asking for, purchasing, or obtaining by any means any cereal malt beverage from any person whatsoever. (f) No person under the age of eighteen (18) years shall enter into or loiter about any such place of business; PROVIDED, that such restriction shall not apply to the premises of a retailer who sells cereal malt beverages for consumption off his premises. Section 2: 6-207 of the Code of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1960, is hereby repealed.
