WHEREAS the governing body of the City of Salina, Kansas,
has adopted Charter Ordinance No, One exempting the City of
Salina, Kansas, from 'ect9_on _L2--1008 of the 1961 Supplement of
the General Statutes of Kansas, 1949, and providing substitute
and additional provisions on the same subject, providing for the
salaries of the City Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas,
to be $1,200 per year and providin, further that the City
Commissioner designated as i;iayor shall receive an add it Tonal
$600 per year; and,
WHER --%"' the governing body of the City of Salina, Kansas,
has provided in .:yid ordinance that the same shall become
effective when approved by a majority of the electors voting
thereon as provided by article 12, Section 5, Subdivision (c) (3)
of the Constitution of Kansas.

Section 1. That an election is hereby called and ordered
to be Field in the City of Salina, Kansas, on Tuesday, April 2,
1963, between the hours of 6:00 :',. M. and 7:00 P. :.I. of said day
at the time of t o regular city election for the: pur�)oso of
voting on Charter Ordinance No. One, such election to be con-
ducted as elections for officers and by the officers handling;
such elections; that election sliall be L:old at the usual places
of holding elections.
Section 2. That the proposition of the ballot to be voted
upon and the form of ballot to be used at said election shall
be in substantially the following form:

To vote in favor of the question submitted upon this ballot,
male a cross x mark the square after the cord, "Yes"; to vote
against it, make a similar marl: in the square after the word,
