I ORDINANCE NUMBER

AN ORDINANCE prescribing the corporate limits of said City, including land described in
Ordinance Numbers 6598, 6623, 6642, and 6673, and repealing Section 1 of Ordinance Number
6586.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina,
Kansas, have come to pass, AND NOW

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:

Section 1. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same is hereby
I
extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and made part of said City under the
provisions of Ordinance Number 6598, Section 1 & 2; Ordinance Number 6623, Section 1;
Ordinance Number 6642, Section 1; and Ordinance 6673, Section 1 & 2; and that all of the
land lying within the following described boundaries be and the same is hereby declared to
be within the Corporate Limits, hereby defined as:
(1) Beginning at the section corner common to Sections 2;, 23,26,27, Town-
ship 14 South, Rnage 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, being the

intersection of the center lines of Cloud Street and Cherokee Avenue
extended;
(2) thence north on the west line of said Section 23 to the West Quarter
corner of said Section 23, being the intersection of Republic Avenue and
Cherokee Avenue;
(3) thence west along the South line of the northeast quarter of said
Section 22 to the west line of Edgemere Addition to the City of Salina,
Kansas;
(4) thence north along the west line of said Edgemere Addition and extended
north to a point 200.0 feet south of the south line of Crawford Avenue;
(5) thence west following a line 200 feet south of the south line of Craw-
ford Avenue 530 feet, more or less, to the toe of flood protection levee;
(6) thence northerly following the toe of flood protection levee to the
north line of Crawford Avenue;
(7) thence northeasterly following the toe of flood protection levee to its
intersection with a line extended north from the west line of Edgemere
Addition and approximately 710 feet north of the center line of Crawford
Avenue;
(8) thence north along a line which would be the extension of the west line
of Edgemere Addition to a point 1442.44 feet north of the center line of
Crawford Avenue;
(9) thence east to a point 1267.25 feet. east of the west line of Section 14,
Township 14, South, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian;
(10) thence north to the center line of Dry Creek;
(11) thence in a north and northeasterly direction following the center line
of Dry Creek to its intersection with the center line of Grand Avenue, which
is at the center line of bridge;
(12) thence northeasterly following the center line of Dry Creek to the center
line of Euclid Avenue;
(13) thence east along the center line of Euclid Avenue to a point 159.6 ft.
west of the east 1/4 corner of Section 2, Township -14 South, Range 3, West
of the Sixth Principal Meridian;
(14) thence north 395 feet, more or less, to the point in the center line of
the original channel of !Dry Creek;

(34) thence east on the center line of Euclid Avenue to the northeast
corner of the southwest quarter of Section 1, Township 14 South, Range 3
West, being the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Front Street;
(35) thence south along the east line of the southwest quarter Section 1,
Township 14 South, Range 3 West, to the south quarter corner of said Section
1, being the intersection of the center lines of Front Street and Pacific
Avenue, and continuing South along the east line of the northwest quarter of
Section 12, Township 14 South, Range 3 West to a point which it intersects
the south line of the main right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad
Company;
(36) thence northeasterly along the southerly line of said railroad right-

center line of a public road known as Fifth Street;

center line of Euclid Avenue, which point is 1300 feet east of the west
quarter corner of Section 1, Township 14 South, Range 3 West;
(34) thence east on the center line of Euclid Avenue to the northeast
corner of the southwest quarter of Section 1, Township 14 South, Range 3
West, being the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Front Street;
(35) thence south along the east line of the southwest quarter Section 1,

1, being the intersection of the center lines of Front Street and Pacific

Section 2. That Section 1 of Ordinance Number 6586 be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
