AN CRDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of
removal and demolition of structures located on the following property, to wit:
Lots 46, A 50 and 52 in Jones Addition to the City of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners have, by Resolution Number 2772 caused to be
notified the owner of the property hereinafter described to cause their appearance
to show cause why structures located on such property should not be removed.
WHEREAS, the owner of the property hereinafter described, after proper notice did
not appear as required by Resolution Number 2772 and show cause why such structures
should not be removed in accordance with Section 13-1101 of the Code of The City of
Salina, Kansas 1960, and the cost thereto has been ascertained, SO NOW, THEREFCRE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against the lots
hereinafter desctibed an assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of removal and
demolition of structures, taxable agtinst the following described lots in the amount
set opposite said lots:
JONES ADDITION
Lots 46, 48, 50 and 52--------------------- $421.15
Section 2. That the owner or owners of the property above described shall have
thirty days (30) after the publication of this ordinance within which to make full payment.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is directed to mail a notice not less than fifteen

days prior to the end of the thirty (30) days to the owner of the property as shown on
the records of the Office of the Register of Deeds.
Section 4. That if full payment of the assessment made in Section 1 of this
Ordinance is not made within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance, the
City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to certify said assessments to the County
Clerk of Saline County, Kansas to be placed on the tax roll for collection, in one
installment, starting with the year 1964, and subject to the same penalties and collected
in like manner as other taxes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
