6753 Levy AssessmentsCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 6753 (Published in The Salina Journal L9 ` 1963) AN ORDINANCE levying assessments on lots, pieces and parcels of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the purpose of paying a portion of the cost of: 1. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Westchester Drive from the east line of Berkshire Drive to the west line of Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Berkshire Drive from the south line of Westchester Drive to the west line of Delaware Avenue, The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Elmhurst Drive from the east line of Ohio Street to the west line of Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Delaware Avenue from the south line of Stratford to the south line of Elmhurst Drive. 2. Water main to be installed in the above described streets with a 1 inch copper service stubbed out at each lot. 3. Sanitary sewers to serve south part of Block 7, all of Block 9 and all of Block 10. WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings regularly had according to law, contracts have been let for the following improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas: 1. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Westchester Drive from the east line of Berkshire Drive to the west line of Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Berkshire Drive from the south line of Westchester Drive to the west line of -Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Elmhurst Drive from the east line of Ohio Street to the west line of "Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Delaware Avenue from the south line of Stratford to the south line of Elmhurst Drive. 2. Water main to be installed in the above described streets with a 1 inch copper service stubbed out at each lot. 3. Said amounts so levied, apportioned and assessed as aforesaid will be due and collectible in Ten equal installments, the first becoming due with the taxes levied for the year 1964, and one of said installments falling due each and every year thereafter until all are paid and all to be collected with interest as in this ordinance provided, HOWEVER, that the owner of any piece or parcel of property liable for any such assessments may redeem his property from such liability by paying to the City Treasury the entire amount chargealbe against the same, as in this ordinance provided, at any time within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance and before the issuance of bonds of said City in payment of the balance of the cost of said improvements, the property so paid on sahll not hereafter be liable for any furhter assessments for the cost of said improve- ments nor for any part of said bonds.
