AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE POLICE POWER OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS, TO INCLUDE ALL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS
FOR FLOOD CONTROL PURPOSES; PROVIDING THAT ALL GENERAL ORDINANCES O
rHE CITY ARE MADE APPLICABLE TO SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDED FURTHER THA
IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL FOR ANYONE TO TRESPASS OR ENCROACH UPON OR IN-
JURE SAID PROPERTY AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
AS:

Section 3C! That the police power of the City of Salina, Kansa
s hereby extended to include the entire flood control system owned
nd operated by the City of Salina, in Saline County, Kansas, as
hown on the flood control map on file in the office of the City
lerk of Salina, Kansas.
Section;( e b,. That the lands aforesaid shall be deemed to be a
art of the corporatelimits of said city.

Section:3r� That all general ordinances of the City of Salina
re hereby declared to be applicable to the above mentioned flood
ontrol property.

Section 32,I That it shall be unlawful for anyone to trespass,
encroach upon, injure, damage, destroy or interfer with any of the
said flood control property belonging to the city.

Section.3r That the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare such rules and regulations as may be necessary
in regards to the management and control of said flood control pro-
perty owned by the City of Salina.

�' Any person, firm or corporation who violates, dis-
obeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with or who resists
the enforcement of any of the provisions ofthis ordinance shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof may be fined
not less than Ten Dollars ($10) or more than Five -hundred Dollars
($500) or may be imprisoned for a period not exceeding thirty (30)
days or may be punished by both such fine and imprisonment for eac
such offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shal
constitute a separate offense.
Section..: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and the publication in the official
city paper.
