AN ORDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of
constructing certain sidewalks in the parking abutting the following property, to -wit:
A property line sidewalk 4 feet wide, adjacent to Lots 6, 7, 8 and 9
West Evergreen Park Addition, and Lot 14, Block 2 Replat of Blocks 1
and 2 Evergreen Park Addition on Cloud Street from the east line of
Pershing Street to the west line of Eleventh Street.
A property line sidewalk, 5 feet wide, adjacent to Lot 6, Block 6
Fairview Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
A property line sidewalk, 5 feet wide, adjacent to Lot 16, Block 9
Bachtold Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
A property line sidewalk, 5 feet wide, adjacent to Lot 18, Block 9
Bachtold Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
A property line sidewalk, 5 feet wide, adjacent to Lot 20, Block 9
Bachtold Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
A property line sidewalk, 5 feet wide, adjacent to Lot 24, Block 9
Bachtold Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
A property line sidewalk 4 feet wide, adjacent to Lots 4, 5, 6, 7,
8, 9, 10 and 11, Block 3 all in Ingermanson Heights, City of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas on the north side of -Talley Drive from the
east line of Ingman Road to the west line of Page Avenue.
A property line sidewalk 4 feet wide, adjacent to Lots 1, 3, 5, 13,
15 and 17 in Block 6 Southern View Addition, City of Salina, Saline
County, Kansas on the south side of Ralph Avenue from Roach .Street to
Norton Street.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners have, by Resolution Numbers 2637, 2654, 2680 and 2691
caused to be notified the owners of the property hereinafter described to cause their
respective portion of said sidewalks to be constructed at their own expense and have
fulfilled all conditions precedent to the construction of said sidewalks.
WHEREAS, the owners of the property hereinafter described did not within thirty days as
required by Resolution Numbers 2637, 2654, 2680 and 2691 cause said sidewalks to be
constructed and the City caused said sidewalks to be constructed pursuant to Chapter 12,
Article 18, General Statutes of Kansas, 1949, and the cost thereto has been ascertained,
SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against the lots
hereinafter described an assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing
said sidewalks, taxable against the following described lots in the amount set opposite
said lots:

Section 2. That the owner or owners of the property above described shall have
thirty days (30) after the publication of this ordinance within which to make full payment.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is directed to mail a
notice not less than fifteen
days prior to the end of the thirty (30) days to the owner
of the property as shown on
the records of the Office of the Register of Deeds.
Section 4, That if full payment of the assessment made in Section 1 of this ordinance

is not made within thirty days afterthe publication of this
ordinance, the City Clerk is
hereby directed and authorized to certify said assessments
to the County Clerk of Saline
County, Kansas to be placed on the tax roll for collection,
in four installments, starting
with the year 1964, and subject to the same penalties and collected in like manner as other
taxes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
