A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW
INTERCHANGE AT THE INTERSECTION OF I-135 AND MAGNOLIA ROAD IN
THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas (the "City"), is anticipating
the construction of an interchange at the intersection of Magnolia Road and
I-135 which will involve the construction and improvement of the Magnolia Road
Bridge over I-135, access ramps and various other improvements involved with
the interchange (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City hereby finds and
determines that it is necessary to pay costs of such Project through the
issuance by the City of its temporary notes and general obligation bonds (the
"Obligations") ; SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. It is hereby deemed and declared to be necessary for
the City to proceed with the Project.
Section 2. It is necessary for the City to issue its Obligations
to pay the cost of the Project in the amount of approximately $3,500,000 under
the authority of K.S.A. 12-685 et seq . or K.S.A. 12-6a01 et seq . or such
other authority as may be appropriate.
Section 3. The City expects to make expenditures on and after the
date of the adoption of this Resolution in connection with the Project and
intends to reimburse itself for such expenditures with the proceeds of the

Obligations of the City in the maximum principal amount hereinbefore set forth.
Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
21st day of March. 1994.
