A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR
VACATION OF CLAFLIN AVENUE FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY OF OHIO
STREET TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY OF AUSTIN CIRCLE IN LOTS ONE (1)
AND TWO (2), BLOCK ONE (1), LUNDBERG ADDITION; LOTS ONE (1), TWO
(2) AND THREE (3), GILE ADDITION; AND, LOT EIGHT (8), BLOCK ONE (1)
AND LOT EIGHTEEN (18) , BLOCK FOUR (4) , AUSTIN ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF SALINA, SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed in the Office of the City Clerk
by Jonathan C. Cossette, petitioner, requesting the vacation of Claflin Avenue
from the east right-of-way of Ohio Street to the west right-of-way of Austin
Circle in Lots One (1) and Two (2) , Block One (1) , Lundberg Addition; Lots
One (1) , Two (2) and Three (3) , Gile Addition; and, Lot Eight (8) , Block One
(1) and Lot Eighteen (18) , Block Four (4) Austin Addition to the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas; SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to give public
notice as req Y required b K.S.A. 12-504 stating that a petition has been filed for
the vacation of Claflin Avenue from the east right-of-way of Ohio Street to the
west right-of-way of Austin Circle in Lots One (1) and Two (2) , Block One
(1) , Lundberg Addition; Lots One (1) , Two (2) and Three (3) , Gile Addition;
and, Lot Eight (8) , Block One (1) and Lot Eighteen (18) , Block Four (4)
Austin Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, and stating that
the petition will be presented to the Governing Body of the City for a hearing
on March 21, 1994, and that at such time and place all persons interested can
appear and be heard under the petition.
Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
7th day of March, 1994.
