Section 1. That 16-508 of the City of Salina, Kansas,
1960, is hereby amended to read as follows:
16-508. Storage Regulations. All places where anv
junk as herein defined is kept or stored, to7ether with
all junk therein, shall at all times be kept in a sani-
tary condition and open to the inspection of any police
or sanitary officer of the City of Salina and no junk
dealer., junk buyer, automobile -junk dealer or automo-
Dile junk Dart dealer shall expose or permit to be exposed
to public view an junk kept or stored by him but shall
cause all such junk kept or stored by him to be kept
either in a per,,ianent building, or behind an aporoDriate
fence not less than five feet in height, which fence
shall at all times be kept in a good repair. In addit-
ion, such fence shall be landscaped by non -deciduous
plantings of shrubs and/or trees for the Durpose of
enclosing and beautifying such Dlace or yard and to
prevent access thereto by the public and to screen the
same from public view: ?rovided, that in anv var(I or
