6-301. License Recui red: It shall be unlawful for an -
individuals,, firms, co-Dartnerships, corpor�.-Ltions and associations,
either as principal, officer, a7ent, servant or emDlovee, to con-
duct, pursue, carry on and overate in the City of Salina a "Class
3 Club" as defined by the laws of the State of Kansas without ha.vi ¢
first paid to the City Clerk the license fee hereinafter Drovided
and having nrocur. ed a license from the 7,overning bod,., of the city.
6-302. License Tax: There is hereby levied an annual
occupation or license tax on each oDerator of a Class E3 Club in
the sum of $250.00, who has a Class 3 Club license issued by the
State Director. of Alcoholic Beverar-_e Control, �v}iich tax shall be
Daid before business is begun under an oriz-inal state license and
within ten days after any renewal of the state license; provided,
however, that any Class B Club in existence at the time of the ef=
fective date of this ordinance shall have ten days from said date
to secure license hereunder.
6-303. State License, Local License: A holder of a
license for a Class B Club in the City of Salina issued by the
State Director of Alcoholic 3everage Control shall present such
license when applying to Day the license tax levied in 6-302 and
the tax shall be received and receipt issued for the Deriod covere
by the state license by the Citv Clerk.
6-304. Application for License: Any person desirin7
a license shall make application to the governi.nfT body of the cit
and accompany the application with the required license fee for
each Dlace of business for which the nerson desires the license.

as requested by the governing body. All applicants must have firE
secured the required license from the State of Kansas.
6-305. License: The journals of the governing bod•,7
shall show the action taken on all applications. The license
shall not be transferable under any circumstances from one person
to another or to any firm, co -partnership, association, containins
members not included in the membership of the original applicant
and such license shall not be transferable by the same licensee
from one location to another without the consent of the governing
body of the city and upon such conditions as the governing body
may prescribe. The license shall be kept posted in a conspicuous
place in the place of business. The license shall state the name
of the license, the location of the place of business for which
the license is issued, the period for which it is issued, and
that it is subject to revocation in the manner provided by law an�::
by this ordinance.
6-306. Revocation of License: The governing body of
the city, upon five days notice to persons holding any such
license, shall revoke such license for any one of the following
reasons:
(a). If a licensee has fraudulently obtained a
license by giving false information therefor;
(b). If the licensee has violated any of the pro-
visions of Chapter 316 of. the State of i:ansas Session
Laws 1965, or anv amendments thereto, or any ordinance
of the city prescribing rules or regulations relating to
the operation of Class 3 Clubs;
(c). If the licensee has become ineligible to ob-
tain a license;
(d). nonpayment of license fees.
6-307. Penalty: Anv fir, co-partnersnip, associatioi
or corporation having a state license for Class 3 CluL within the
City of '�alina who shall fail to pay a license tax herein levied

and within the time D rescribed or who shall violate an,,T of the
Provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be fine(
not more than $100.00 for each days violation: Provided, that
InothinF herein shall be construed to prohibit the cite from col-
