ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THE LICENSE FEE FOR TAXI CABS,
THE MANNER OF REVOCATION OF LICENSES, AND SETTING THE MINIMUM AGE
OF ANY LICENSEE; AMENDING 16-1010 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SALINA, KANSAS, 1960, AND REPEALING THE SAID ORIGINAL SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
SALINA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That 16-1010 of The City of Salina, Kansas,
1960, is hereby amended to read as follows:
16-1010, License Fees; Revocation; Age of
Licensee. A license issued under this article shall
be for a period ending December 31 next after it is
issued. The license fee for each year, or any fraction
thereof, shall be $10.00 per taxi cab; provided, how-
ever, that the license fee for the period from July 1,
1965s to December 31, 1965, shall be one-half of the
fee above stated.
No taxi cab shall be operated until the re-

quired license fee has been paid and the license issued.
No taxi cab shall be operated after the license is

revoked. No license so issued shall be assignable
except as provided for in this article, and the same
may be revoked by the Board of Commissioners upon the
conviction of the licensee of having violated any of
the provisions of this article and said Board may also
revoke such license for any cause which the Board may
deem constitute reasonable grounds for such revocation
and also and in such manner and for such causes as are
otherwise in this article provided for. No such license
shall be granted to any person under twenty-one years
of age.
Section 2. 16-1010 of the Code of the City of Salina,
Kansas, is hereby appealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its adoption and publication in the official
city paper.
