AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO HAVE, KEEP OR MAINTAIT
FOR HIRE OR PROFIT, ANY BILLIARD OR POOL TABLES WITHOUT SECURING
A LICENSE THEREFORE; PROVIDING THE AMOUNT OF SAID LICENSE;
AMENDING 4-401 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, 1960;
AND REPEALING THE ORIGINAL SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
SALINA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That 4-401 of The Code of the City of Salina
Kansas, 1960, is hereby amended to read as follows:
4-401, Billiard and Pool Tables; License. It
shall be unlawful for any person or persons to have,
keep or maintain, for hire or profit, in any place
in the City of Salina, billiard or pool tables,
without first securing a license therefor as in this
article provided, and paying a license fee on all
such table in the following amounts: For each table,
$10.00 per year or fractional part thereof. Such
license issued shall expire on the last day of
December next after the same is issued, and shall be
nonassignable and nontransferable and shall be issued
only to individuals and not to corporations; Provided,
that for the period beginning July 1, 1965, and ending
on December 31, 1965, the license fee shall be one-
half of the fee above stated; Provided further, that
the license fee herein made payable shall be based
upon each and every billiard and/or pool table kept
or maintained in place of business for which such
licenses are paid unless such table is actually dis-
mantled and rendered unfit for use as a billiard or
pool table.
Section 2. 4-401 of The Code of the City of Salina,
Kansas, 1960, is hereby repealed.

' Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its adoption and publication in the official
city paper.
Adopted by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas, and approved by the Mayor this 28th day of June, 1965.
