A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A THIRTY (30) DAY EXTENSION OF
THE SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY
OF SALINA, KANSAS AND OTTAWA COUNTY, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina and Ottawa County are parties to a
Solid Waste Disposal Interlocal Agreement dated April 4,
1994, (the
"Agreement") ; and
WHEREAS, the original term of the Agreement is for a three month
period ending July 4, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to extend the Agreement for
a period of
thirty (30) days to allow for further discussions toward a long term
agreement;
SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City
of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to take
any action
necessary to extend the Agreement for an additional thirty (30) day
period.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect
from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the
Mayor this
