A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VARIOUS FEES FOR SERVICES IN
THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina provides many specific services for
the Citizens of Salina; and
WHEREAS, specific individuals benefit from said services; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate public policy to require specific
individuals benefitting from specific services to pay all or a portion of the
cost of such services; and
WHEREAS, Salina Code Section 2-2 provides that the Board of
Commissioners shall determine, by resolution, all license fees, permit fees and
other user related fees or charges established by the ordinances of the City;
SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That, effective July 1, 1994, fees charged by the City
of Salina, under the Comprehensive Fee Schedule, adopted by Resolution
Number 94-4688, are hereby amended for the following license categories:
a. Article III, Licenses
Delete the following categories:
Junk Dealer $305 per day
Taxicab Owner (each cab) $ 25 per year
Inspection Fee (per cab) $ 10 every 6 mo.
Add the following categories:
Junk Dealer $305 per year
Taxicab Company $ 25 per year
Taxicab Fee (per cab) $ 10 per year
b. Article VI, Court Costs:
Delete the following categories:
Illegal Parking no costs
Docketing and final judgement $25.00
Transcript or judgement of appeal $15.00
Guilty Plea/Waiver of trial $10.00
Add the following categories:
Illegal Parking/Adult Seatbelts no costs
Traffic $18.50
Non -Traffic $43.50
Section 2. That the Comprehensive Fee Schedule shall be amended
to reflect the fee changes set forth in Section 1.
Section 3. That Resolution Number 92-4477 shall be repealed.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
20th day of June, 1994.
