A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE 1994 j
TOURISM AND CONVENTION FUND.
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted an annual budget for the
Tourism and Convention fund and other funds of the City on August 9, 1993;
and
WHEREAS, 1994 anticipated revenues for the Tourism and Convention
-- Fund will likely exceed those adopted in the 1994 Tourism and Convention Fund
budget; and j
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the Tourism and Convention Budget
be increased from $475,000 to $560,333; and
WHEREAS, K.S.A. 79-2929a allows budgets to be amended for
previously un
budgeted y u budgeted increases in revenue other than ad valorem property
taxes; and,

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held and conducted, on April 18,
1994, so as to
'I give interested citizens a reasonable opportunity to be heard, 1
and
I
WHEREAS, the City Commission has, after due consideration and
deliberation found ou d the amendment to the 1994 Tourism and Convention to be
necessary, desirable and expedient; SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the proposed 1994 amended budget for the Tourism
and Convention Fund is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Budget Appropriations, which are incorporated
in the amended Tourism and Convention Budget are hereby approved.

Section 3. That the City Manager is authorized to record all
interfund transfers as contained in said amended Tourism and Convention
Budget.
Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to
implement and administer, within the budgetary funding limits and within
adopted City policy and relevant State and City laws and regulations, said
amended budget.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
18th day of April, 1994.
