94-4787 Traffic Control DevicesRESOLUTION NUMBER 94-4787 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION AND/OR REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES IN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That in accordance with the provisions of Article 20, Chapter 8 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, the City Manager is directed to install and/or remove the following traffic control devices in the City of Salina, Kansas: 1. Stop signs be installed on Westchester Drive at two intersections, Westbend and Waverly, making Westchester a through street. 2. The existing stop signs be reversed at two intersections, Fourth/Walnut and Fourth/Mulberry, making Fourth the through street. 3. The stop signs at College Avenue and South Street be reversed, making South the through street. 4. The stop signs located at Upper Mill Heights/Glen Avenue be removed and a "yield" sign be placed at the Upper Mill Heights/Glen Avenue east intersection in lieu of the stop sign. 5. Stop signs be placed at the intersections of Park/11th and Park 12th, making Park a through street. 6. Stop signs be installed at the currently uncontrolled intersection of Charles and Eleventh, making Charles a through street. 7. All school zones serving Glennifer Hills School be removed, including the long section of reduced speed school zone located on Iron Avenue. 8. Install new stop signs at Prairie Lane/Crawford Street; Pheasant Land/Marymount Road; and, Bromac Avenue/North Street. Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 8th day of August, 1994. 04ty Jose A.
