ORDINANCE HUMBER _L
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SOLICITATION OR SALE OF ANY
MERCHANDISE UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS, AND ALLEYS WITHIN
THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS:
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
or corporation to solicit, peddle, hawk, vend, barter, sell or
offer for sale any goods, wares, beverages, food products or other
merchandise from any vehicle while said vehicle is located upon the
improved portion of any street, avenue, boulevard or alley within
the City; provided, however, that this shall not be construed to
prevent the delivery of previously ordered merchandise.
Section 2. That any person violating anv of the provisions
hereof shall upon conviction be adjudged guilty of a misdemeanor
and be punished by a fine of not to exceed One Hundred Dollars or
imprisonment in the City Jail for a period not exceeding; thirty
days, or both such fine and imprisonment, and each day any of the
provisions hereof are violated shall be deemed to constitute a
separate offense.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after publication in the official city newspaper.
Adopted by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and approved by the Mayor this day of August., 1966.
