AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE INCLUSION OF CERTAIN LA14D
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS:
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain
land in the City of Salina, Kansas, have come to pass and;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAI14ED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That the Board of County Commissioners of Saline
County, Kansas, in accordance with K.S.A. 12-501 passed by resol-
ution determined that the addition of the hereinafter described
territory of the City of Salina, Kansas, will be to its best in-
terest and will cause no manifest injury to the persons owning
real estate in the territory sought to be added which real estate
is described as follows:
A tract of land lying wholly or in part in Section 22,
Section 27, Section 29, Section 32, Section 33, Section
34, and Section 35, Township 14 South, Range 3 West; and
in Section 3 and Section 4, Township 15 South, Range 3
West of the 6th Principal Meridian in Saline County,
Kansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an "X" cut in the concrete pavement which
marks the Northeast Corner of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 3, Township 15 South, Range 3 West; FIRST COURSE,
thence South 00 degrees 06 minutes 24 seconds East, along
the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section
3, a distance of 21662.50 feet to the East Quarter Cor-
ner of said Section 3; SECOND COURSE thence South 89

the northeast corner of Section 27, Township 14 South,
Range 3 West, of the 6th P.M. which point is on the
west city limits; thence west along the north line of
said Section 27, to the west right-of-way of Centennial
Road; thence south along said right-of-way to a point
on the south line of the northeast quarter of said
Section 27; thence east along, the south line of said
northeast quarter of Section 27 and continuing east along
the south line of the northwest quarter of section 26
to the west right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Rail-
road; thence northeasterly along said railroad right-
of-way and crossing Interstate Highway 35 to its east
right-of-way which is also present city limits; thence
following the meandering line of the east right-of-way
of Interstate Highway 35 to the northeast corner of
said Section 27 or the point of beginning.
Section 2. That all of the real estate described in Section
1 be and the same is hereby included within the city limits of
the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and take
affect from and after its adoption and publication in the official
city paper.
Adopted by the Board of City Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas, and approved by the Mayor this _ day of July,
1966.
