KAP' SAS :
Section 1: Ordinance .Jo. 6657 of the City of Salina, Kansas,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
8-909. Natural gas may be connected to a mobile
home providing the following procedures and safety reg-
ulations are complied with:
(1). All provisions of Chapter 8, Article 8, of
The Code of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1960 and any
amendments thereto;
(2). Mobile Homes be parked on a substantial con -
Crete or masonry slab:
(3). Mobile home be solid1v blocked with blocking
or jacks placed a maximum distance of ten (10) feet apart:
(4). Mobile Home be anchored by a minimum of four
(4) anchors:
(5). Connection from the ground line to the trailer
shall be an approved flexible connector bearing the seal
of the American Gas Association, and be so installed
that it will not be subject to damage:
(6). That an iron -bodied, brass -core cock with pro-
vision for locking in closed position be installed on
the riser as close as practicable to the point of emer-
gence from the ground, and that the riser be protected
by one solid post set in the ground adjacent to the riser
p 1pe :
(7). That the conversion and/or connection of gas
appliances to natural gas be done only by a licensed plumber
or gas fitter:
(8). That copper or aluminum tubing not be permitted
unless a part of anproved connector:

(9). That adequate combustion air be provided for
heating, plant:
(10). That an automatic shut-off valve be installed
directly above the iron -bodied, brass -core cock that will
completely shut off the flow of gas when the pressure
decreases from four ounces to one ounce and that a plas-
tic breakway nipple be installed on the outlet side of
the automatic shut-off. valve.
Provided; however, that an authorized dealer may
connect natural gas to a mobile home used for disolav
purposes only without compliance with Subparagraph 2 and
4 above set out.
8-910: Penalty. Any person who shall violate any
of the provisions of this ordinance or any trailer park
owner, licensee or manager who shall knowingly Hermit anv
violation of this ordinance shall be guiltN,l of a mis-
demeanor and shall be subject to the same penalties as
provided in Section 8-9074 of the Code of the City of
Salina, Kansas, 1960.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its adoption and publication in the official city
newspaper.
Adopted by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and approved by the Mayor this 3- day of January, 1966.
