A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SOLID
WASTE DISPOSAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS AND
OTTAWA COUNTY, KANSAS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF WASTE IN THE SALINA
LANDFILL.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina and Ottawa County are parties to a
Solid Waste Disposal Interlocal Agreement dated April 4, 1994, (the
"Agreement") ; and
WHEREAS, the original term of the Agreement was for a three
month period ending July 4, 1994, and was subsequently amended for an
additional thirty (30) days; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to enter into a long term agreement
commencing August 4, 1994 and remaining in effect until April 5, 1997; SO
NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Solid
Waste Disposal Agreement between the City of Salina, Kansas and Ottawa
County, Kansas for the disposal of waste in the Salina Landfill.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
1st day of August, 1994.
