ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR SAFETY PILOT SHUT OFFS ON WATER
HEATERS AND FURNACES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS:
Section 1. That the Salina Code is hereby amended by adding
a section to be numbered Section 9-314 which section shall read
as follows:
Sec. 9-314. Safety Pilot Shut Offs.
Safety pilot shut offs shall be installed on all water
heaters and on any furnace or space heater used for
house or business heating.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its adoption and publication in the official city
paper.
Adopted by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and approved by the Mayor this day of June, 1967.
