ORDINANCE NUMBER

AN ORDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of new
water service lines, located at the following property,to-wit:
Blocks 1 and 2 Riverside Park Addition on Penn Avenue in
Salina, Saline County, Kansas
WHEREAS, the Waterworks Department caused to be notified the owner of the property,
hereinafter described, that it was necessary to replace water main line and to make the
necessary repairs to service lines.
WHEREAS, the Waterworks Department did install new water service lines in accordance with
Section 35-32 of The Salina Code, and the cost thereof has been ascertained; SO NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against the lots
hereinafter described an assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of water service
lines, taxable against the following described lots in the amounts set opposite said lots:

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to certify said
assessments to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed on the tax roll for
collection, in four installments, starting with the year 1967, and subject to the same
penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its

adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
